A fan-made poster imagines what a young Ahsoka Tano could look like in Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series is set to take place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, with Ewan McGregor reprising the role of Jedi-in-hiding Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is set for a rematch with his fallen apprentice, Darth Vader, with Hayden Christensen also making his return to Star Wars to take on the role, as Obi-Wan tries his best to avoid the villain’s elite team of Jedi-hunting Inquisitors.

Ahsoka Tano, Anakin’s former apprentice who made her debut in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series, has also been an important part of Obi-Wan’s story. Voiced by Ashley Eckstein, the young Jedi became almost as bonded to Obi-Wan as she was to Anakin before she left the Jedi Order. This era of his life has been teased as casting a shadow over what will be shown in Obi-Wan Kenobi, which has left the viewers wondering whether Obi-Wan could experience flashbacks to his time spent fighting alongside Anakin and Ahsoka. With the latter making her live-action debut in The Mandalorian season 2, the role having been taken on by Rosario Dawson, the idea of seeing Ahsoka appear in this series seems to be more in reach than ever.

Now, a fan poster by guiillegfx on Instagram brings a popular fan-cast for a young, live-action Ahsoka to life. Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming) has long been a favorite amongst viewers to portray the younger version of Ahsoka. The poster imagines Harrier in the same look Dawson wears in The Mandalorian season 2 episode 5, “Chapter 13: The Jedi,” along with the Tatooine suns and one of Ahsoka’s signature smiles. Some viewers are torn over whether they want Ahsoka to make an appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi. With the series being limited to 6 episodes, there isn’t much storytelling space to spare, and Ahsoka already cameoed in The Book of Boba Fett episode 6 this year. Some want the story to focus on Obi-Wan and his broken relationship with his fallen brother Anakin, especially after the criticisms that plagued Boba Fett, while others want the Togruta to appear and fully develop any flashbacks to the Clone Wars.

Either way, the audience will be in for a thrill with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Both McGregor and Christensen have shared how exciting it was for them to step back into their respective roles and share the screen again for the first time since Revenge of the Sith. Between the ruthless Inquisitors of Darth Vader and the necessary protection of Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan will no doubt have a lot to do during the series. Obi-Wan Kenobi will be joining Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars Rebels, and the upcoming Andor series in shedding some light on what has happened between Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. There will be something for everyone with McGregor’s return to the screen as the beloved Jedi, whether or not Ahsoka becomes a part of that journey.
